CARE & SEASONING

Our cookware are a true heritage piece that can be passed down through many generations. Our cookware comes with the initial season complete to get you off to a great start.  Keep in mind the patina of the cookware can change with each cook, beginning with the first use.  Our cookware works best with frequent use, we encourage you to make them part of your daily cooking adventures.

Carbon Steel

Wash cookware with warm water (use soap sparingly once seasoned).  If you have stubborn cooked on food you can use a chainmail scrubber to break food free. Wipe cookware dry and add a small amount of high smoke point oil to a cloth or paper towel and gently rub oil in cookware before putting away. After the oil is in the skillet it should have a matte appearance and not too shiny.

Copper

Wash with warm soapy water and air dry.  The patina will change over time. If you would like a 'shine' to come back to your copper simply wipe down with an acidic food like tomato, vinegar, or lemon.

How To Reseason Your Cookware:

To reseason you will want to wash and dry the cookware throughly.  Place skillet on stove top, turn on medium heat, put high smoke point oil on paper towel / cloth and wipe in skillet.  Keep skillet on stovetop, skillet will start to smoke (that's ok), continually wipe skillet with paper towel/cloth.
